Don’t forget to check restrictions before you travel. For the latest entry requirements to St Lucia please check here: https://www.stlucia.org/en_UK/covid-19/
We are delighted to announce that Saint Lucia’s Health and Tourism authorities have removed quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated visitors who arrive on island after 31st May 2021.
From this date onwards, fully vaccinated travellers arriving with a negative PCR test and proof of vaccination will be able to enjoy Saint Lucia’s sites, attractions, restaurants, shopping night life, and more without the need for a 14 day quarantine within the hotel.
Proof of vaccination along with a negative PCR test will need to be shown on arrival to enjoy all of what Saint Lucia has to offer.
Fully vaccinated travellers are those who are at least two weeks past their final dose of a WHO approved vaccination. Guests will be given a special wrist band to show that they are fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will need to be kept on hand at all times when leaving the resort to enjoy the island’s many activities, shopping experiences, restaurants, bars and more.
Visitors who arrive who are not fully vaccinated can still enjoy the property and accompanied covid-safe excursions.
This relaxing of restrictions certainly represents progress towards normality, however it is important to note that St. Lucia’s core Covid-19 health and safety protocols remain in place (physical distancing, hand washing and mask wearing in public) for the safety of ALL visitors and locals alike.
Most countries will require you to have a Covid-19 test before you return home. We will make the process as simple as possible for you by administering the test at the hotel, this will be handled by our Nurse. We will then take the test to the laboratory for you for processing, you will receive the test results by email. This negative result will have to be shown at the airport on check in before your flight, if your test is positive you will not be allowed to travel.
East Winds will not charge you for an Antigen test which is most commonly available in St Lucia. Unless you need further tests due to a positive result, you will not be charged.
We will try and keep things as simple as possible. If you have booked through an agent please contact your agent who will be able to manage cancellations and date changes for you.
If you booked directly with the hotel and have to change your dates we will offer you an alternative date at the same rate. If new travel restrictions are introduced either in St Lucia or at home, then we will refund any deposit you have made to the hotel. If you have a booking in 2021 you may re-book for any time up to the end of 2022.
If you would like to make a booking direct with the hotel we will ask you for a refundable deposit to secure your booking. We will then ask you to pay the full cost of your stay, 2 weeks before arrival, by which time there will be certainty about travel restrictions from your country.
If you wish to make bookings through your usual agent, please contact them direct.
A big thank you to our guests and our wonderful team for your understanding and loyalty. We will continue to post updates on our website and other social media platforms. Our phone lines and email are open for future bookings, changes of existing reservations and any questions or concerns you may have.
