This July, the island will celebrate in true Caribbean style with Carnival 2015. A spectacular event full of bright colors, pulsating music and dance, Carnival time is a great time to visit the Caribbean.
A rich display of Saint Lucian culture, Lucian Carnival pays homage to the island’s African and Catholic heritage. Once held to mark the end of the season of Lent, the festival was relocated in the late 90’s to accommodate the island’s thriving tourism industry, and to eliminate competition with Carnival gargantuan Trinidad & Tobago.
A month of Carnival inspired events kicks off June 20th through until July 21st.
