Great selection of liquors whether it's Tito's or high-end bourbon I don't remember seeing anything they did not have.. again everything included at no cost.we paid less per night after all was said and done, here as we did for the dump we stayed in the first 3 days, Tet Rouge, but here everything was included including a lot of smiles...
A special shout out to Sylvia behind the bar her laugh was infectious you could hear it from all over.. Robert one of the servers and a huge Mets fan so if you're from New York you'll enjoy that banter, if you're from the south go Braves! Which on a side note has outscored them 18 to 1 the last two games while we were here 🙂 J down at the beach always asking if you were good, as you sat underneath your private thatched Cabana, steps away from the water and there were plenty of those for everybody..
Charms apparently is the new director and obviously she is pushing the right buttons not sure how it could have been any better before, you can tell people have been coming here for years as they've established relationships not only with the staff but with each other as you listening to the conversations.
Every night they have a live music while you're eating and afterwards.. combine that with the breezes and a beautiful sunset every night if you're looking for something smaller and more unique to the island, this really is your place.
I will address one thing do you hear dogs barking yes you do in the hills.. for us it was minimal for some it might be a little overbearing that is something you have to decide on.
I can tell you truly memorable experience for us and will be back multiple times a year moving forward till I'm gone or till things change. More

The most important reason has to be the fantastic staff at the resort. Each and every one of them was very warm, friendly and kind. They really do make the place! Right after our first day, all of them knew us by name and this really adds to the sense of comfort and familiarity with the place putting you at ease to make the most of your time there. Our 10 year old son was also the youngest one at the resort while we were there and he made friends with everyone at the resort and will definitely be thinking of all the lovely times he spent at the resort for a while. 2. The breakfast smoothies and therapies and the local cuisine at the lunches were our favourites. The four course meal every night was lovely too. We would love to see even more local cuisine at all meals and fresh coconut water at lunch every day please (Sylvanus’ handy bottle of rum by the coconut counter just makes it even better!) 3. 4. Joe! For being so incredibly patient and enthusiastic with our 10 year old and teaching him how to paddle board and sail! Two life skills he will keep with him forever. Thank you!
5. Sylvanus for being super kind to us and bringing us all sorts of natural remedies from his carefully grown gardens for bug bites and my son’s sea sickness. We really appreciated your support to get our son up and running quickly so he could still enjoy the last day before leaving.
6. Jayah and Mikhael for keeping us entertained and in high spirits both pool side and on the beach! Our son also thanks you for all the Shirley Temples, Virgin Pina Coladas and Virgin Strawberry/Mango Daiquiris
7. Simeon for the good vibes (and the good vibes punch)! Highly recommend the sunset cruise and the Piton tour.
8. Teresa for her magic hands at the garden spa!
9. The surprise birthday cake for breakfast and the adorably decorated cabana for my husband’s birthday dinner and decorations in our room too! You really made his birthday special with 48 hours of surprise celebrations
10. Meeting all the wonderful guests who were there who also added to the community feeling with familiar smiles and lovely chats. It’s the first time I’ve actually met so many people on a holiday! You don’t usually end up knowing others as well in big resorts.
Thank you so much East Winds family for making our first trip to the Caribbean so memorable! We will be back again! More

But as much as these changes to the personnel are having a positive effect on the hotel, the ambiance is completely unchanged and there are still plenty of the old, friendly faces that play a huge part in our decision to return to East Winds time after time.
All the staff are excellent but I must particularly give a shout out to Chef Germaine who is now running the breakfast service and is a great character, the two new boys running the beach and pool service, Jayah and Mikel and also to our old friends, Windel and Sylvia in the bar who as always, looked after us fantastically.
We had a great time once again and if you do your research then decide to go, I’m sure you will love it too! More

New staff Jaycee and Mickel kept us entertained poolside. Beware those shots! Tresa was a superb cocktail maker and along with Sylvia, Windell and the team ensured we were kept happy. Great kitchen staff including Lindon, Hopkins, Germaine and lovely quiet Harry.. there seemed to be a good team spirit . The fish was cooked perfectly and the lamb chops a standout. The therapies drinks in the morning were super and staff knowledgeable about them. . I could have drunk those all day. We are now buying a juicer as we are growing sour oranges and limes and yuzu at home. Teresa gave me a great massage which released my whiplash a bit enabling me to have a great sail with Jo. Kerwin deserves a special mention. He is VERY observant and very kind in a quiet way. Both he and Miriam very knowledgeable about the wine. Security was great and quietly visible which was reassuring. Sandra (?) was lovely.
Housekeeping was an issue but I know they were under pressure and short staffed but it was annoying not having the room made up when I wanted some quiet rest in the afternoon after lunch. This was an issue in other hotels I stayed in too this trip.
The gardeners were friendly and full marks to Slyvanus and team for decorating the Cabana when we were visited by “Queen Camilla”
Selma, Richard,Kylee, Curlin and co looked after us well.
Above all I was very impressed that the emphasis was on staff and guest safety during the run up to the impending tropical storm. It was handled very well indeed and I am glad the staff got to go home early and come in late so they could get home safely and look after their homes
We were well informed in advance of the special measures by Natasha and Charms
So still a superb place and I hope to save up and return in 2023. More

As I said we enjoyed our stay and East Winds must be dong something right because of the amount of return guests, but sad to say we won't be one of them. More
