What Our Guests Are Saying

Our holiday best friends suggested East Winds and it couldn’t have been better. This was our first visit to St Lucia and within a few minutes of arriving at the... read more hotel we knew that we would like it. The gardens are spectacular, having been established by a botanist in the 1960s. Our room was spacious, well appointed and with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was well appointed with beautifully made local china sinks and a huge sunken shower.

We stayed in a Deluxe Cottage which is less than 5 mins walk from the pool, bar, restaurant and beach. it was , as with the whole reosrt, spotless.
The staff deserve a special mention. Most of them adddresed us by name despite the fact this was our first visit. Some guests were into double figures for return visits.
The excursions, particularly the bot trip was excellent and set the scene for "Good Vibes" for the rest of the week.
It was a "big" birthday held in a little bit of paradise - the feeders outside the rooms meant we had hummingbords as regular visitors. Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended. More

The food was generally good, with al la carte in the evening. I appreciate the chef taking time to make sure my food intolerances were catered for. The drink offering was excellent with premium spirits, and the wine provided with the evening meal changed daily. There was even proper champagne at the manager’s cocktail party.
The staff were all very friendly and the activities laid on were well organised and entertaining. The live musical accompaniment to dinner was excellent.
This was my sixth visit to St Lucia but first visit to East Winds. It’s a very relaxing resort and I liked its small size and friendly feel. However, I don’t think I would return due to disappointment over the room and the lack of a long beach to walk on. More
30 January, 2023We have just returned from a week at East Winds which really met up to our expectations.
It is a small hotel with around 60 guests. The staff were amazing,... read more the food absolutely delicious, the menu changed for every meal and the wines were selected for the menu, choice of 2 reds, 2 whites, 2 rose. They were very good wines. Our cottage had a large bedroom, bathroom a bit small but adequate and a small kitchen. The beach was lovely with plenty of sunbeds as was the pool. The gardens are beautiful and the head gardener gives an excellent tour every week.
East Winds probably appeals to the over 60's more, it is very peaceful and relaxing. It is all inclusive, one could eat and drink whenever. Most meals were accompanied by music, not loud but excellent, many tunes from the 60's and before. Many of the guests have been several times before. We would certainly like to return one day.

The drinks were plentiful and served by the excellent staff who go out of the way to make you feel welcome. A big thank you to Jay and Mikel who kept us well lubricated on the beach. The only thing I can find fault with is the beach. It was far too difficult for me to venture in the water as getting back out was a big issue. Also the beach area by the water sports needs more beds and umbrellas as these were all taken very early in the morning.
We had a lovely time here and just want to say thank you to all the amazing staff who made this place so lovely. More
30 December, 2022We stayed here the first two weeks of December.
Our arrival airport transfer was pre arranged with East Winds but did not materialize so we ended up getting a taxi... read more which was a bit annoying!
However the rest of our holiday was excellent, lovely room, perfect weather, lovely fellow guests and wonderful staff ( with the exception of reception/front desk who we thought lacked the warmth of the rest of the staff members !).
The chef cooked us a special anniversary dinner, served in one of the beach gazebo’s, a very special evening, thank you Chef.
Thank you to all the staff members who made our return visit so special, big shout out to Jay, Mickel, Sylvia, Kylie and Alana
We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Fructose is found in some brands of tonic waters and as the brand they use did, they got in a brand that didn’t so she could have her G & T’s.
We had booked the Superior Cottage for our stay and we were allocated number 4. A very large room with plenty of wardrobe space and storage space. Off it was a bathroom, with a walk in shower and toilet. Also off the main room a kitchen area with teas & coffees kettle and fridge.
The bed was very comfortable.
The gardens were kept well groomed by a team led by Sylvanus, who has a great knowledge of plant based medicine. Some beautiful plants and flowers attract the humming birds amongst others. There are numerous holes in the flower beds and grass areas that are closer to the sea that are homes to many crabs. You see them vanishing down them as you approach.
The bars are great meeting places. The pool bar where you can get tea, coffee and cake in the afternoon. The Bamboo bar where they hold the rum tasting. The Sunset bar where most meet up for pre dinner drinks and drinks during the day. The bar team are some of best we have met. Jay and Mickel make a great team that serve you on the beach and pool during the day. They are a very funny and happy duo, and helped us enjoy our days on the beach. There was also Kirby. Kerwin, Windel (thanks for the tummy settler Windel) and Sylvia who took the rum tasting and has an infectious laugh.
We had a great time when Joe took us for a sail. He also gave me a lesson in paddle boarding. Only fell in three times.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere in the evening and a nice place to have breakfast and midday meal. The team headed by Titus do a great job at helping you enjoy your time there. Elie, Miriam, Selmar, Robert, Septima, Curlyn and Alana to name just a few of the great staff.
The chef’s are a great bunch. Headed by Rene with Linton, Harry, Germaine and Trevor again just a few of the hard working kitchen staff.
Theresa in the Spar has healing fingers. I have had restricted movement in my left shoulder for a long while. I went to Teresa for a massage. After she had massaged my shoulder I could move it a lot further.
Natasha, the GM, has her finger on the pulse of this hotel. We are early risers and were normally one of the first into breakfast. Natasha would be there talking to the guests and staff, listening to any problems and trying to sort them out. We had a few issues that Natasha sorted out very quickly.
Then there were the other guests. These help to make it either a good or bad holiday.
What a lovely bunch of people these were. A great bunch we had a good laugh with.
We made some new friends who we will be keeping in touch with.
A big thank you to Judith and her team for a lovely holiday.
We are hoping to return for our next anniversary next year.
